CRAZY JEANS 2018 HIGHLIGHTS

...AND 2019 WILL BE EVEN BETTER!

After an incredible inaugural event in June 2018, we are pleased to announce CRAZY JEANS is returning to Tunbridge Wells in 2019 even bigger, better and more exhilarating than before!

The one-of-its-kind soapbox kart race raises serious cash for local charities while bringing businesses and community groups together for a hilarious family fun day out in the heart of the town. Hosted at Dunorlan Park on Saturday June 8th, Crazy Jean’s will be supporting two amazing charities in 2019: Hospice in the Weald and Taylor Made Dreams, a charity which enables children with life-limiting illnesses achieve their wishes and dreams.

Once again, 50 handmade soapbox karts, each sponsored, manned and expertly "pimped up" by each team, will go head to head in hilarious Red Bull-style time trials of a specially-made downhill race track in the picturesque park.

The day culminates in the four fastest teams battling it out in The Grand Final to find the ultimate 2019 Crazy Jean’s Winner.

 THE MAIN RACE

Entry fee is £500 per team which includes the loan of a basic soapbox kart which can be "pimped up" by each team ahead of Race Day.

The cost also covers all helmets, a Race Day briefing, invitation to the VIP launch event and helps support the huge costs, including safety and security, which comes with staging this giant community event.

Each team (made up of 4-6 people) will also need to raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship from friends, family, dress up days at work, cake sales – you name it, you can do it!

Entries are limited to 50 Soap Boxes for the main race - so sign up now!

All aspects of safety and security are being overseen by event organisers Crazy Jean's Ltd.

Each team will be allowed to pimp up their kart shell in any way they like (with company logos, flags, new shell design etc) with the option of using our talented kart makers to help design and make the kart of their dreams at a small extra cost.

Following in the footsteps of legendary TV chef Rosemary Shrager - a celebrity commentator is being secured for the 2019 event where thousands of spectators are again expected to turn out to support friends, foes, business associates and rivals in the race of the year!

Headline sponsor will be multi-award-winning local and online company, Childrensalon, which has always stood by a ‘people first’ approach to business and is reflected in their charitable and supportive work in the local community.

Trackside entertainment will include a kids’ zone with giant inflatables along with a food and drinks village.
